The ProForm treadmill brand name is produced by ICON Health and Fitness. ICON Health and Fitness is a company based out of Utah that focuses on manufacturing exercise equipment. ICON Health & Fitness owns several additional treadmill brands including NordicTrack, Healthrider, and Freemotion. You’ll notice that treadmill units from each brand are very identical if you compare models from each brand.

The ProForm brand name has improved drastically over the past several years. They have improved so much that the ProForm treadmill is the recognized treadmill of the Boston Marathon. Bear in mind however that there are a vast range of treadmills within this brand name. Their efficiency, durability, and prices vary greatly.

ProForm has various treadmill lines for 2016. The Power Series features treadmills that cost $999 to $1999. Steeper inclines are included in the PRO Series and the Boston Marathon Series however these units are going to cost more. Boston Marathon Treadmills are ProForm’s most advanced machines. These are meant for athletes who run for hours at a time.

Marathon treadmills are the most expensive ProForm option. They are powerful and durable enough to support a 4 minute mile. They include marathon training programs for starters in addition to top athletes. Proform Sport Series Treadmills

Proform Performance Series

The Proform Performance series includes several units. The motors on these units range from 2.0 to 2.75 CHP. The units in the performance series have inclines that range from 10-12%.

The decks on these units are shorter that the more high-end Proform models. Most of the decks on the performance series are 55″ long. These treadmills can range from $400-$800. Generally the warranty of these units is one year parts and one year of labor.

Proform Power Treadmills

The ProForm Power Series treadmills are a step up from the Performance Series. The treadmills look similar, but the warranties are longer. The Power 1495 leads the Power Series. It has an incline and decline, a 10″ touchscreen, 34 built-in workout programs and wireless heart rate monitoring. The parts on a few power treadmills are covered for 5 years. Priced under $1500, the Power 1495 is among the very best ProForm values for the common home treadmill shopper. Each of the treadmills in the power series has a 3.0 or 3.5 CHP motor, a full 20″ x 60″ track, and a 15% automatic incline. Every one of the power series isiFit-ready.

Proform Pro Treadmills

The nice thing about Proform is that they offer treadmills to fit any budget. Prices range from $399 to $3999. If you are an avid runner, you can choose a basic model or something more refined. Most Proform treadmills can be folded up. Proform’s newer treadmill belts are very well cushioned to deflect shock. Some of the more expensive models even let you disable the cushioning to simulate outdoor training. Proform service warranties vary a ton. A marathon treadmill can cover parts for up to 6 years. Some budget friendly models however only come with a 90-day labor warranty so make certain you do your homework before you decide to purchase a Proform treadmill.
